The Wellmo solution consists of three parts: a mobile wellness diary for the programme members or employees, integration with existing apps and devices, and tools for the wellness programme and coaches.

The system created by Wellmo connects a range of mobile devices and apps which will allow employees to chart their progress and fitness trainers, and coaches will be able to help individuals based upon the data provided and organisations will be able to chart out the fitness of its staff.

The system is designed to lower the unit cost of wellness services for the companies.

Wellmo founder Jaakko Olkkonen said: "We help wellness providers create services that let staff use their own existing wellness devices – maybe a smart scale, or wristband from one of the big-name companies – as part of their journey to good health.

"We gather the data from many devices and software in one place, measuring the outcomes, and empowering employers and employees alike to improve their wellbeing, health, and happiness."
