Project Squared, Cisco’s business collaboration app, is set to enhance content collaboration through a product integration alliance with Box.

The alliance between Cisco and Box promises to accelerate productivity for global businesses, making it faster and easier for teams to communicate and collaborate.

Box View and Box Content APIs have been leveraged by Cisco, enabling Box folder content to be accessed from virtually any device. The content can be viewed in a Project Squared room immediately alongside messages without downloading.

"We’re focused on transforming the collaboration experience and that’s the basis for Project Squared," said Rowan Trollope, senior vice president and general manager, Collaboration Technology Group, Cisco. "Giving workers, in one place, a way to access content with just one click, and, collaborate easily with the people that matter most is our mission and we’re excited to work with Box’s leading content management technology to bring that experience to life for our customers."

"Enterprises are adopting best-of-breed solutions to change the way their employees work, which means that vendors need to work together to offer unprecedented continuity between their services," said Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO of Box. "This alliance with Cisco is an exciting example of what that can look like, and we’re thrilled to be pairing Cisco’s leading collaboration portfolio with Box’s content collaboration to power better experiences for our joint customers."

The two companies have plans to extend their alliance, intending to bring even more collaboration and content sharing capabilities to workers globally.
