The Dell Unified Communications Command Suite (UCCS), a data-driven platform for UC management, has been announced by Dell Software.

UCCS simplifies the managing of multiple communication platforms and delivers a reporting and diagnostic solution on workforce activity, communication consumption and system performance.

The UC Command Suite enables organisations to take command of their unified communications by connecting the dots between activity and adoption trends, quality of experience and infrastructure performance and availability. This will ultimately speed time to resolution and remove the barriers to adoption.

The Dell UC Command Suite is comprised of UCCS Analytics and UCCS Diagnostics. UCCS Analytics includes aggregated analytics and insights across Microsoft Exchange and Lync, streamlining multiple-platform reporting.

UCCS Diagnostics helps administrators detect problems within the messaging environment by displaying activity of all messaging components in a single interface. This then allows for the quick locating of the root-cause of operational issues and assist in the resolution.

Both UCCS Diagnostics and UCCS Analytics support Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Lync platforms.

Businesses spend millions to assess, install and deploy UC solutions, despite having a lack of accurate insight into how the solutions are used.

A recent survey on Lync challengesd and adoption found that 80% of organisations do not have reporting capabilities to tell them f they have met their cost reduction goals. The survey further found that only 17% had a dedicated Lync administrator, leaving the full UC management to IT administrators.

These findings reinforce that organisations do not know who is responsible for the managing, communicating and educating employees on the adopted UC platform.
