Mayo Clinic has launched Mayo Clinic app, which can be download for free from Apple’s App Store.
Integrating with Apple Health, the Mayo Clinic app offers users a clear overview of their health and fitness data.
The new app, which was announced during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June, replaces the current patient app.
The Mayo Clinic said patients will be able to view Mayo Clinic health data through the Apple Health dashboard, contact a care team directly through secure messaging, manage appointments and watch Mayo Clinic videos on Apple devices.
Mayo Clinic Public Affairs medical director John T. Wald said: "Users of the new Mayo Clinic app will have easier access to health information, guidance and care when they need it most.
Through the Apple Health app, users will be able to integrate information from other apps with their Mayo Clinic health information, creating actionable data to improve health and wellness."
The future updates lude will include personalized feedback along with disease and condition management.
Considering the recent security breaches, Mayo Clinic has assured users that the data stored within the app will be secure and users will have full control over the data.
