Virgin Atlantic is in talks with aero communications service provider Gogo to provide in-flight connectivity with speeds at up to 70Mbps across the European airspace.
The companies have agreed on principal terms but are currently working to finalise a definite agreement.
Once the deal is finalised, Gogo will install its 2Ku technology, which is expected to be launched next year, on all of Virgin Atlantic’s existing fleet of aircraft.
The antennas expected to be used by Virgin Atlantic are about two times more spectrally efficient than other antennas in the aviation market, which lowers the cost, Gogo said earlier this year when the technology was announced.

"Virgin Atlantic’s relationship with Delta Air Lines will also allow us to build a seamless experience for passengers who fly both airlines," he added.
Virgin Atlantics is the first European airline to partner with Gogo, which also announced deals with Vietnam Airlines and T-Mobile.
