The BIRT Company Actuate has partnered with VMware to help companies gain insight from any source of Big Data in hybrid cloud environments, by deploying enhanced business information applications.

Under the partnership, ActuateOne will support private, public and SaaS (software as a service) cloud deployments to enable quick deployment with VMware applications.

The company said it will help in avoid hard-coded configuration allowing fast and easy deployment with VMware applications. The company said ActuateOne has already earned VMware Ready status, certifying the product compatibility.

VMware virtualisation creates a layer of abstraction between the resources required by an application and operating system, and the underlying hardware that provides those resources.

In addition, customers can extend the new VMware vFabric Data Director to their virtualised ActuateOne cluster, by managing the data sources in Actuate dashboard as well as the vFabric Postgres database that manages the Encyclopedia Volumes of that ActuateOne deployment.

The integration of ActuateOne upon VMware simplifies IT management tasks, while ensuring the mission-critical availability, security and scalability for any Actuate / VMware deployment.

VMware Product Management senior director Fausto Ibarra working with Actuate will provide its customers with an application for analysing and visualising large data sets that reside in hybrid cloud environments.

"With VMware vFabric™ Data Director, VMware vFabric Postgres and ActuateOne, organisations can securely and efficiently extract actionable insights from their data to make informative business decisions," Ibarra said.
