Twitter has bought mobile retargeting firm Tap Commerce for $100m.

Tap Commerce helps app developer’s retain their users by creating ads that make users re-engage with the apps they have downloaded

Tap Commerce clients include big names like eBay, Poshmark, Fab and Pocket Gem; and they have reportedly worked with Facebook as well. In last November this New York based company raised $10.5 million in Series A round, which was led by RRE Ventures and Bain Capital Ventures.

Back in April, Twitter announced the mobile app installed suite that shows audience ads of other apps within Twitter’s mobile app.

And with this acquisition they aim to promote apps in a better way.

In its blog post, Twitter stated: "Together with the Tap Commerce team, Twitter will be able to offer mobile app marketers more robust capabilities for app re-engagement, tools and managed service solutions for real-time programmatic buying, and better measurement capabilities."
