A report extract said to be from Microsoft detailing the software giant’s plans for Nokia has surfaced on the Internet which details plans on the new branding scheme for Nokia.

Revealed by infamous Twitter leakster @evleaks, the long list of changes how that Microsoft will continue to use the Nokia brand for Lumia devices for 18 months, meaning that it will be in use until November 2015, a year and half after the April merger.

The report says that Microsoft could use its own brand name on new devices before the Nokia trademark license expire.

A portion of the report reads: "Microsoft brand will only replace the Nokia brand in product, applications and experiences when Microsoft has launched a new product into the market."

"The Lumia and Asha brands and products, the Mobile Phone portfolio, including Nokia X, sold under the Nokia brand will be transferred to Microsoft as part of the transaction. Nokia Lumia, Nokia Asha, Nokia X and the rest of the Mobile Phone portfolio will continue to receive the full support from Microsoft."

The leaked document is reportedly dated from January this year, so some guidelines are most probably already in place.

Microsoft did not purchase the tights for Nokia’s ringtone, the ‘Connecting People’ tagline and the ‘hands animation’.

"These assets remain with Nokia," reads the report.

In the brand FAQ section, Nokia employees are told that they now have to say "I work for Microsoft and I work on the Microsoft Devices Business."

The leaked document also touches on the famous Nokia Pure typeface. It reads: "All new materials prodcued after [April 25] will be in Microsoft look and feel and will use Microsoft Segoe font."
