South Korea based Samsung Electronics is all set to launch its new four-inch Galaxy SIII Mini GT-I8190 smartphone, in Europe to compete against Apple’s new iPad Mini.
The new mini Galaxy SIII smartphone is expected to feature a 1GHz dual-core STE U8420 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, a 5mp camera and the company’s TouchWiz user interface along with a WVGA Super AMOLED display.
Samsung Mobile Communications head J.K. Shin said that a 4-inch Galaxy S III will be launched in Germany.
"There’s a lot of demand for a four-inch screen device in Europe. Some call it an entry-level device, but we call it ‘mini,’" Shin said.
The smartphone will also come with 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, NFC, microUSB port, Bluetooth 4.0 and 1500 mAh battery.
Samsung’s current Galaxy SIII smartphone, which was released in May 2012, features a quad-core microprocessor, 2100mAh battery and Exynos 4 Quad, as well as a 4.8-in HD Super AMOLED display, 8MP camera and a 1.9MP front camera.
