US-based semiconductor company AMD has introduced a new graphics card AMD Radeon R9 295X2, which is claimed to be the world’s fastest and most powerful GPU.
The new graphics card, which was developed by combining two AMD Radeon R9 Series GPUs into a single unit, is said to have the capacity to handle games with maximum settings of 4K resolution.
Created in association with the PC liquid cooling applications provider Asetek, the R9 295X2 graphics card is equipped with closed-loop, pre-assembled and maintenance-free liquid cooling system.
AMD Graphics Business Unit corporate vice president and general manager Matt Skynner said, "This record-shattering dual-GPU card will enable industry-leading audio and visually stunning 4K gaming, proving once again that Radeon is gaming."
The new graphics processing unit is based on the Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture and claimed to offer better high-performance gaming experience with low-overhead API Mantle.
Asetek CEO and founder Andre Eriksen said, "With our custom fitted liquid cooling technology, the AMD Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card delivers quiet powerful performance."
AMD Radeon R9 295X2 also supports better audio experience with AMD TrueAudio technology and an onboard dedicated audio processor.
The GPU is also capable of handling visual experiences and multi-monitor configurations with AMD Eyefinity technology for current as well as upcoming PC titles.
Slated to be launched during the late April 2014, the processor comes with a starting price of $1499.
