A new British technology firm has been created that aims to "revolutionalise" the global IT landscape.
The startup company, headquartered in Fulham, London, will focus strongly on Big Data, cloud and BYOD security solutions, according to founder Cirrus MacApple.
MacApple believes his new venture, BYOD Big Data Cloud, is already well placed to take on the more established IT companies.
He said: "My dream since graduating from university has always been to establish a successful and influential IT firm and deciding exactly what kind of technology company to create was easy.
"I carefully examined the industry closely for any gaps in the market but found none. I didn’t want to waste anymore time coming up with something novel, so I looked at the big trends in the IT sector.
"Everyone has been talking about Big Data, the cloud and BYOD so, although we didn’t even officially exist until today, in a way, everyone has already been talking about us for the past few years."
BYOD Big Data Cloud’s inaugural solution Big Cloud Fire will offer superior security by creating a haze around company data, MacAlpine explained.
"Anti-virus solutions are all well and good but cybercriminals can get around those defences," he said. "They’re really sneaky like that. But when your data is in our cloud, protected by extra haze, I guarantee that even you will struggle to find it."
IT security analyst Joe King said he expects Big Cloud Fire to have a huge impact on the market, adding: "These days, if you’re not keeping your data in a haze, you are losing the battle against cyber criminals."
