According to the company, the glasses come with built-in sensors like gyroscope, GPS, accelerometer, microphone, Dolby Digital Plus sound capability and a multi-touch trackpad for controlling its functions and running applications.

Epson UK Visual Imaging business manager Graeme Davidson said by tapping into this growing demand for wearable technology, the company has developed the BT-200.

"It’s not vapour-ware, it’s a real proposition, as we’ve been in this market with a tangible product that has been available to purchase since 2011," Davidson added.

The current device is the second smart wearable device launched by the company following the the BT-100 video glasses, which were introduced three years ago.
