Renting and buying new cars could become a lot quicker with a proof of concept from DocuSign and Visa.
An app designed for Visa’s connect car would allow buyers to drive the car away in minutes, having paid and signed all documents electronically.
The DocuSign POC app is embedded in Visa’s connected car prototype and is designed to automate the steps involved in renting a car.
In addition to this, the app has the ability to orchestrate services like car insurance, rental payments and parking payments.
It was developed using blockchain methods and uses DocuSign’s Digital Transaction Management platform and eSignature software and API together with the Visa Token Service for secure payment processing.
