Blackberry’s first Android phone, PRIV will be available for preorder in the UK, according to retailer Carphone Warehouse.

In the UK, the device will be available with a price tag of £579.99.

Buyers from North America and Canada will have to wait for some time as the device is only available for preregistration now.

Buyers who opt for preregistration will be notified about the date of the sale.

The smartphone promises to offer the security of the Blackberry with the advantage of Android apps from the Google Play Store and Google services.

It sports a 5.4 inch QHD AMOLED sliding display with 2560 x 1440 pixels and screen sharpness of 540ppi.

PRIV will come with both touch and QWERTY physical keyboard and will run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The physical keyboard will be hidden by SmartSlide technology.

As per the details provided in the listing by the retailer, the phone will come with 3GB RAM which include 1.8GHz dual core + 1.44GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processors.

It will feature 3,410mAh battery, 18MP camera with Dual LED flash and 2MP front camera. It will support 3G and 4G connectivity.
