Car manufacturer Toyota has unveiled its vision to nearly stop manufacturing 90% of its gasoline vehicles by 2050 to reduce emissions.
The company said that in 35 years from now, its car business will be mostly manufacturing hybrids and fuel cells powered vehicles.
It also said it will involve governments, affiliated companies and other "stakeholders".
Speaking to journalists at the Tokyo museum, company execs although have not mentioned electric vehicles as part of their strategy.
Toyota predicts annual sales of fuel cells cars to reach 30,000 in 2020, ten times more than its projections for 2017. Hybrid car sales are expected to reach 1.5 million in five years.
