Mitsubishi Electric will unveil its automated concept car EMIRAI3 xAUTO at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show 2015 in Japan later this month.

Equipped with advanced Diamond Safety technologies, the car will be able to offer proactive passenger protection, Mitsubishi said.

Technologies including perimeter sensing, artificial intelligence, high-precision vehicle-motion control, high-accuracy positioning along with road-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-vehicle communication will be facilitating automated driving functionalities for the car.

Artificial-intelligence technology enables the car to predict and map visible risks on the basis of the movement of other vehicles.

The technology will also help the car to spot invisible, immobile risks through information analysis of potentially dangerous road conditions derived through the Internet.

The vehicle will also feature technologies to support automated parking, autonomous emergency braking system in darkness and lane keeping control system.

Earlier this month, Mitsubishi Electric has also announced about introducing EMIRAI 3 xDAS during the Tokyo Motor Show. EMIRAI 3 xDAS is a concept car developed by the company featuring assistance driving technologies.
