IBM has expanded its smarter commerce offering with the release of a cloud-based software and services that claim to help businesses to place customer at the centre of their operations.

The new software claims to help Chief Marketing Officers (CMO), Chief Procurement Officers (CPO) and other business executives to improve intelligence-guided customer experiences across all digital channels.

The enhanced offering include: IBM Marketing Center, new Smarter Commerce managed services application and new application for Strategic Supply Management.

IBM Marketing Center integrates digital analytics with real-time marketing execution capabilities into a single application that allows CMOs to meet customer needs and can be deployed without taxing the resources of the chief information officer (CIO).

IBM Enterprise Marketing Management vice president Yuchun Lee said: "With the IBM Marketing Center, we expand our SaaS portfolio with an all-in-one solution that provides CMOs and their teams with the intelligence required to consistently meet the unique needs of each individual customer — the ultimate goal of all marketers."

The new Smarter Commerce managed services application helps clients deploy and manage their ecommerce environments, while the new application for Strategic Supply Management accelerates and improves supplier governance, risk and compliance.

With the new applications provided by IBM,customers will be provided with automation and intelligence while accelerating and improving marketing, sales, customer service, procurement and supply chain management.

IBM also introduced Smarter Commerce Managed Services, a new set of services from its Global Process Services (GPS) group, which augments IBM’s software and global business services applications with full-scale business, process,and IT managed services to help business executives deploy and manage cross-channel commerce processes.

With the new Emptoris Strategic Supply Management, CPOs are given visibility and control over spending, contracts, service providers and supplier intelligence and processes. It also improves supplier governance, risk and compliance with enhanced information management and workflow capabilities.
