CA Technologies has partnered with the non-profit organisation ‘Learning to Work’ to launch the ‘Create Tomorrow’ programme in the UK.
The programme is part of the comapny’s broader effort to address the skills gap in Europe.
The company aims to shift the focus to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning.
As per the year-long programme, the company has opened its doors to its UK headquarters at Ditton Park to those enrolled in the programme.
The attendees will get to visit various departments of the company to know how different departments contribute towards the success of the business.
Apart from that, CA women leaders will be visiting nearby girls’ schools to talk about what it is like to be a woman in IT industry.
In France, CA Technologies has partnered with IMS-Entreprendre pour la Cité to spend time with young pupils and students to help them understand about the work environment and culture of technology organisation.
In Germany, the company is sponsoring students pursuing studies in science, electronics and information technology, and In return, the German government is expected to double the investment.
In Italy, CA Technologies is involved in Deploy Your Talents programme, which is aimed at promoting STEM studies and to reduce gender stereotypes.
CA Technologies EMEA President Marco Comastri said: "Every business is a software business in today’s Application Economy.
"In a world driven by software, we need to increase the number, and diversity, of those studying and working in STEM fields.
"There are too few young people aspiring to study STEM subjects and there is too great an imbalance in the number of women actively seeking technology roles; both concerning issues which we are committed to addressing."
