Kaspersky Lab has released its Internet Security 2013 Premium Security Suite and Anti-Virus 2013 Essential Protection Solution, compatible with the upcoming Windows 8 operating system.
The two new security products come with a new antivirus engine, which the company says offers an improved detection of all types of malicious programmes. Both the products comes with a new anti-phishing module that features automatic updates and improved heuristic detection of websites that try to steal your password and other valuable data.
They also feature a new virtual keyboard that protects the sensitive data against keyloggers when in Safe Money mode and also incorporates Secure Keyboard, which utilises a special keyboard driver to prevent malware from logging keystrokes.
Both the products also feature an updated user interface, Kaspersky said.
The new Kaspersky Now application gives Windows 8 users an overview of their PC’s security status and launches key features of Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security directly from the new user interface.
Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 features Safe Money technology that protects users’ money during online shopping and banking. It also includes a new anti-spam module that blocks unwanted mail, saving you time and hassle.
It also includes Automatic Exploit Prevention technology, which the company said can address sophisticated threats trying to exploit vulnerabilities in popular software.
Automatic Exploit Prevention protects Kaspersky Lab’s customers against the exploits, including those that utilise zero-day vulnerabilities. It also recognises unauthorised activity by an exploit without blocking the normal operation of a potentially vulnerable programme.
Kaspersky Lab CEO and co-founder Eugene Kaspersky said: "With its Hybrid Protection approach and new Automatic Exploit Prevention and Safe Money technologies, Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 helps our customers build the most efficient security system that is also easy to set up and use."
