Missed revenue forecasts did little to dampen investor interest in Imagination Technologies, as the company’s shares rose 5% during early morning trading following the publication of its 2015 results.
Imagination Technologies failed to hit forecasts of £179m and a pre-tax profit of £12m, reporting £177m in revenue and a disappointing pre-tax loss of £12m.
However, the company was confident in its forward looking projections, with licensing revenues expected to rise by 10% in the current financial year. The company also expects a rise in chip shipments and royalty revenues.
Hoping to contribute to the company’s future revenues, the company also announced that the Fedora image for Creator CI20 is now available for testing.
Announced today by Fedora contributor Michal Toman on the company’s blog, the Fedora image for Creator CI20 will not provide the full Fedora experience, as no graphical interface will be available and only about 7% of all Fedora packages are built so far.
In what Toman refers to as a ‘so-called Stage 3 image that boots into headless mode,’ users will be able to login using SSH or serial console and to use DNF for installing and updating packages.
Looking forward, Toman said: "The next step is going to be building the whole distribution using Mock, the tool employed for compiling Fedora packages within the build system."
