Interxion has become a Global Azure ExpressRoute EXP partner to tackle connections to Microsoft’s solution.
The data centre company will be adopting the ExpressRoute, allowing enterprises and service providers to establish security-enhanced, high performance, low latency connections to Azure via Interxion’s Cloud Connect platform.
A study by IDG Connect revealed that organisations are concerned about further migrating workloads due to connectivity, security and application performance issues.
Respondents said they would move 69% more workloads to the cloud if connectivity and security problems were resolved.
Giuliano Di Vitantonio, CMSO at Interxion said: "ExpressRoute is a great addition to our Cloud Connect platform and meets the significant demands of our collocated enterprise and service provider customers who are building hybrid solutions based on Microsoft’s cloud technology."
Ross Ortega, Networking Product Management at Microsoft Azure, said: "Our collaboration with Interxion provides our joint customers new options to benefit from the efficiencies of hybrid cloud."
