Cloud, networking and virtualisation technology provider Citrix has released three new NetScaler MPX appliances, which claims to deliver applications, desktops and data with enhanced performance and availability for small and midsize enterprises.
The new appliances, MPX 8200, MPX 8400 and MPX 8600 , leverages the high-performance NetScaler architecture.
Citrix’s new NetScaler models provide up to six Gbps of application-layer performance and supports the breadth of application delivery controller (ADC) functionality.
The new appliances features pay-as-you-grow support to enable three times faster performance on-demand. This will help organisations to scale their network without costly ‘forklift’ appliance upgrades.
In addition, each model provides an enhanced performance for SSL, HTTP request processing and concurrent TCP connection support.
NetScaler MPX provides 30% enhanced price performance compared to other applications. It will also enable customers to apply a pay-as-you-grow license in order to double or triple performance to meet traffic growth requirements.
The MPX platform leverages the Intel E3-1275 multi-core processor, 32 GB of RAM and a Solid State Drive (SSD) for enhanced reliability.
